LG Targets High stakes for 3D TV
LG Electronics TV brand in the world’s No. 2 set aggressive sales targets 3D television. Target is to establish leadership in emerging markets that will heat up.
3D digital TV using a double-layered images and special glasses to fool the audience as if to see 3D. This technology will become the next battleground for the TV makers, including Samsung Electronics, Motorola and Japanese rivals Sony Corp. and Panasonic Corp.
LG aims to sell 400,000 TV 3D in 2010 and 3.4 million in the year 2011, the South Korean company said in a press conference.

Electricity Profuse Plasma TV banned in California
California banned the sale of plasma TV to reduce electrical energy consumption. But the ban was opposed to the arbitrary will lead to even greater costs.
The ban would cause losses of U.S. $ 50 million per year from sales tax because consumers will buy the TV online or in other areas.
“At the moment the state of California is facing the worst crisis in the history of money, this would be a disaster,” said Jennifer Bemisderfer, a spokesman for the Consumer Electronics Association, which lobbied against the ban.
