Acer Advanced Mobile launches Android
Acer began selling their first mobile phone with Google Android software this week. Acer will also introduce Android handset next year.
The second largest PC company in the world is entering the mobile phone market this year with 10 models using the Microsoft operating system Windows Mobile.
“There’s a definite momentum behind Android. From moving faster than predicted in last year. The company had planned to use other operating systems,” stated Executive Director Acer, new de Lencquesaing.

De Lencquesaing said that Acer does not have plans to follow steps other phone makers are introducing devices every 50-100 years.
“The point we are comfortable in the range of only 8-10 devices,” Add de Lencquesaing.

Acer has been a priority of about 40 telecom operators to sell the device. “We have about 10 mobile operators sell Acer,” he said.
