Acer Advanced Mobile launches Android
Acer began selling their first mobile phone with Google Android software this week. Acer will also introduce Android handset next year.
The second largest PC company in the world is entering the mobile phone market this year with 10 models using the Microsoft operating system Windows Mobile.
“There’s a definite momentum behind Android. From moving faster than predicted in last year. The company had planned to use other operating systems,” stated Executive Director Acer, new de Lencquesaing.
Android control 3.5% global smart phone market in the quarter II ended September, compared to Microsoft’s market share plummeted from 13.6%
